Author Interview- Devi Lavangwala

1)

Can you tell us a little about your book?

My book isn't a regular book you'd generally read. It has poetry, prose-poetry, and unsent letters to the fictional characters.

2)

Is there a specific event that inspired this story or was this an out-of-the-blue idea?

My inspiration is my imagination. Just like Emily Dickinson, no events inspire me to write. I let the words flow naturally.

3)

What got you writing in the first place?

It's in my blood. ;)

4)

What was your impression of your first draft when you read it?

I was blank. The draft was my final script.

5)

What makes your book the one to read?

It is an amalgamation of all, if you like Shakespeare, you'll enjoy the poetry. If you love Jane Austen, you will love reading the letters. In short, you will love reading it all.

6)

What was the best advice you got while writing?

To keep writing.

7)

Who’s your all-time favorite author? Which book of his/hers made you fall in love with them?

Ironically, I am not an avid reader but I enjoy reading Shakespeare.

8)

What is your evergreen tip to the writers out there?

Don't think before writing.

9)

Do you have another plot brewing?

Yes, I do.
