Author Interview- Grace Hephzibah

1. Can you tell us a little about your book? 

My Delight is the combination of feelings that can inspire us about the creation and power of God, motivate us to achieve our goals, and rejuvenates our past life into beautiful memories to cherish. These poems will ignite your thoughts in a positive way towards life.

2. Is there a specific event that inspired this story or was this an out-of-the-blue idea?

I started to write poems during my high school days, Initially, I didn't have any idea about writing poetry but gradually it became an interest to write my feelings in the form of poems, and then started to write poems based on the situations that happen in day to day life. 

3. What got you writing in the first place? 

I was in 8th standard when my SUPW sir asked us to write four lines poem on our own, I tried to write and read the poem the next day in the class. My teacher appreciated me and encouraged me that I can write many more poems. His gesture of appreciation motivated me to write poems.

4. What was your impression of your first draft when you read it?

May my poems be inspiring and encouraging to others.

5. Which part of your story connects the most with you? Why?

"With God, we live" - Everybody knew how heartbreaking it was during the days of the pandemic, people llivedin fear and lost hope, most of us would have been infected by covid-19, even though I was one of them. It was a time of isolation, loneliness, and depression but still, God was the only hope and help, WITH GOD WE LIVE.

6. What makes your book the one to read?                                                           

Because it is the emotions of every human being penned in the form of poetry that enables in constructive life. 

7. What was the best advice you got while writing?

It has to be simple, that anybody can read and understand.

8. Who’s your all-time favorite author? Which book of his/hers made you fall in love with them?

William Wordsworth," I wandered lonely as a cloud".

9. What is your evergreen tip to the writers out there? 

If you want to change the world, pick up your pen and write. I just did. And some of you, who are hiding behind the bush with your writing skills, it is time for you to rise and shine.

10. What was your hardest scene to write?

I wouldn't say hard to write rather it was a hard situation for me. "My Hero" This was the poem I wrote for my dad to present to him on his birthday but unfortunately he passed away a month before his birthday, This poem is dedicated to all dads around the world for their unconditional love and sacrifice for their family which usually goes unnoticed

11. Do you have another plot brewing? 

No, as of now, but planning to write a motivational book.
