1. Can you tell us a little about your book?
I want to share my understanding of feminism, which I have gathered from observing my surroundings, my parents’ insights, from my teachers, with my friends, children of or around my age, and with children of all genders.
2. Is there a specific event that inspired this story or was this an out of the blue idea?
I love reading and writing. You can say that I am an avid reader. Also, I love traveling I have traveled extensively in India and abroad. Both the hobbies combined gave me the idea of writing on Feminism connecting it with my own real-life experiences.
3. What got you writing in the first place?
Writing and expressing is one of my fortes something that I possess naturally.
4. What was your impression of your first draft when you read it?
I pen down my thoughts and imagination and I loved the first draft. I could actually imagine everything as it was based on my real life.
5. Which part of your story connects the most with you? Why?
To be honest the entire book, every chapter because I have lived it myself. It’s so interesting when you write about your own experiences as you have lived and cherished every moment.
6. What makes your book the one to read?
This book is meant for everyone with no age nor gender bar. It’s about little girls like me to identify their potentials to stand up and build their own world. To fly high with their dreams. In-addition, it’s for others to support them to make their dreams come true.
7. What was the best advice you got while writing?
Be yourself. Just go with the flow. You got to be real.
8. Who’s your all-time favourite author? Which book of his/hers made you fall in love with them?
I like couple of authors actually – Sudha Murthy, wise and otherwise is a must read. Ruskin bond, Enid Blyton, Roald Dahl, I love reading Geronimo Stilton books – Author Elisabetta Maria Dami inspires me a lot.
9. What is your evergreen tip to the writers out there?
Start writing and keep writing, no matter what. We learn to be good writers through practice. Write about what you are passionate about. Choose your subject for yourself. If you care about it, your writing will engage readers. Bring a piece of yourself to everything you write. Your experiences and your interpretations make your writing unique.
10. What was your hardest scene to write?
The conclusion, the message. When you have to end your book it’s the hardest and the most emotional part of a writer’s journey.
11. Do you have another plot brewing?
Oh yes yes, there are many!! I’ll be back soon with a gripping and interesting subject...
